A bunch of weeks in review :)

I have still been keeping my "weird things the kids say" journal, but have been busy. Everyone tells us the third child is the hardest. I'm not sure its that Carter is number three, its just that Sydney and Jackson have become so independent, Keresa and I have been able to take a lot more time for ourselves. Now with Carter, we have a baby who needs 24/7 help. It takes a lot of time away from the stuff we have added in since Sydney and Jackson have needed less help. We love him anyway. :)

Jackson came in frantically rubbing his eyes and said, "Mommy there's eyebrows in my eyes!"

We stopped during our road trip to get gas and Keresa asked the kids to be quiet and calm so Carter would stay asleep. Sydney said, "but I thought Heavenly Father made it so when we are asleep we can't hear anyhthing?"

Jackson has a friend named Josh. But he messes up his name and says, "my friend Gosh..."

Grandma Whitney was helping Jackson put on his shoes. They smelled kind of stinky and he had just gotten in trouble for saying some "bathroom words." So instead of risking it and getting in trouble again, he said, "My shoes smell like a bathroom word."

Jackson saw a spider crawling on the ground. He told us, "That spider probably crawled out of my mouth because my teeth are dirty because I haven't brushed my teeth in a long time."

To avoid always naming human waste, we call it bathroom. We say things to the kids like "Do you need to do some bathroom?" or "Get all your bathroom into the toilet and none in your undies." Jackson figured it out and said," Hey guys," (because he calls his parents 'guys') "we do bathroom IN the bathroom! " then he laughed and lauhed.

Jackson got busted for talking about pee. In his defense he said, "But I was talking about the number P, not the bathroom p."

Jackson said, "I really wanna suck!" He meant that he wanted a sucker.

I was helping Jackson get ready for bed. While he still had his shirt off he was hugging my leg. He said, "Dad you need to shave your legs. I can feel your pokey hairs poking my belly." Then when he was ready for bed his eyes were all red and bloodshot. I told him. He asked why. I said probably because he was so tired. He said, "probably because I am half boy and half monster!" then he growled at me.

Sydney said, "I can't wait to go to a zoo someday so I can see some cows!" Won't she be delighted to visit Logandale someday.

Jackson was holding a car hanging by one of sydneys rubber bands. He asked if I wanted to play his piñata. I asked him to explain. He said,"You have to kick the piñata with a baseball bat until the candy falls out."

Sydney said it would take too long to drive "the final time" to Las Vegas. Mom said what do you mean final. Syd said, "Well, final means the last time. Instead, we should sell our car and truck, drive to Las Vegas in an airplane, and when we get to Las Vegas buy a minivan."

Should have had the cows put in our fields when you were down! They get rotated through periodically.
Stelli: That's funny cause "p" is a letter!
Love the journal.

That was some seriously funny "bathroom"!

I read this post in the law library and tried my hardest not to laugh, which only aggravated matters.

Back when Carter was brand new, I explained to Jackson that I used to have a baby boy named McKay, and he grew up to be your Daddy. Jackson's eyes got big and he asked if I also had a baby girl named Keresa.
Remember the toddler who said, "I love you too, too, too!"
